Exercise For Toning Hips

It is the dream of every woman - shapely hip muscles. From the point of view of human anatomy, women tend to have larger hips relative to the waist (unlike men), because women tend to store a greater amount of body fat on the hips, buttocks and thighs.


Each person is different and stored in the body fat in a certain order. This order is determined by gender and genetics. It is a myth that women can selectively lose fat in the hip area. In fact, "spot reduction" is something that advertisers use to attack unsuspecting customers desperate to try anything to give shape to certain areas of the body. You've probably wasted time and money on gadgets, creams for weight loss and other stuff. When you lose weight, "reduction" is general, it is just the body, but never in a "spot." Think of the body like a balloon that inflates and deflates every time, win / lose weight.

Here's the good news - specific exercises for the hip, as shown below will help tone the muscles of the hip (but not spot reduce). The following workout is designed to tone the muscles of the hip. It works best when combined with an aerobic exercise program and a healthy diet.

The combination of toning exercises hip with extensive aerobic exercise and weight training program requires more energy and more strength. Side elevations Hip - hop toning.

Starting Position: Lie on your left side on a mat, legs straight. Support your ear on your hands and keep your left leg bent. Movement: Slowly lift your right leg 8 to 12 inches in the air, keeping the right knee. Gradually lower. Complete 15-20 repetitions and repeat on the opposite side. To make this exercise more difficult, you can try using wrist weights around the ankles. Start with one book and work your way up to 5 pounds in 4-6 weeks. Another way to make the exercise more difficult it is to lift the leg and then draw large circles to the right 10 times, followed by another 10 repetitions counterclockwise.

Tonic sitting Hip - Hop toning.

Starting Position: Sit on an exercise matt with your legs together and palms on the table for support. Movement: Lift your right foot 8-12 inches mat. Movement: - Inhale, keeping your heels in contact with the ground at all times, slowly lower into a squat while sliding along the wall position. Exhale as you slowly straighten your legs, keeping your head and chest up, returning to the starting position. Repeat as necessary. This is an advanced exercise. Standing single leg squats with dumbbells (Advanced) - Hip and toning thighs.

Starting Position: - Standing on one leg with a slight bend in the knees. Hold a dumbbell in each hand and allow them to hang on the sides. Movement: - Inhale, keeping your heels in contact with the ground at all times, slowly lower into a squat. Exhale as you slowly straighten your legs, keeping your head and chest up, returning to the starting position. Repeat as necessary. You can start with 2 lb dumbbells and work your way up to 5 pounds in 3-4 weeks.

Lying Leg bridge - Toning Hop.

Starting Position: - In an exercise mat with your feet on a table or a table with a 4.6 inch lift. Keep your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Put your palms down matte on both sides of your body for support. Movement: - Exhale as you push your hips up in the air, keeping your back straight. Hold this position as long as you can, keeping your hips in the air constantly. Slowly lower. Repeat for 15-20 reps.

Lying Plank - hip, thigh and toning Ab

Starting Position: Get on a exercise mat and knees, elbows touching the mat directly under your shoulders. Extend your legs back as far as you can, and keep your feet on the ground. Movement: Lift your hips and keep you in the "plank position" with the back completely flat. This is an excellent exercise for the hips, thighs and abdominal muscles. As many muscles, is intense in nature. Slowly lower your hips on the mat. Repeat for 15-20 reps. (Most people have difficulty completing 15-20 repetitions of this exercise and 8-10 might be a better starting point).
